OVERVIEW

 

Scholarship Amount:  One $1,000 award to be used by the recipient for college books or fees.  The money will be sent to the college or university to be disbursed.

Eligibility: Applicants must have declared their final year of NKSL eligibility and must be on a team roster in the NKSL at the time of selection.

Registration Deadline: Applications will be distributed at the Kick-Off Dinner and DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION IS JULY 2nd and should be turned in to the swimmer's NKSL representative.

Announcement of Award: The winner will be selected one week prior to the Champ Meet and the recipient announced at the finals of the Champ Meet.

Criteria for Award: The selection committee will select the recipient upon review of the following materials submitted by the applicant.

  1.  
    1. 500 to 1000 word essay about why swimming has been important in the applicant’s life.
    2. Two letters of recommendations; one swimming (coach, etc.) and one non-swimming (teacher, counselor, clergy, etc.)
    3. Completion of an information sheet.
